Let's Link Up Campaign

Our aim for this campaign was to increase brand awareness/app visibility by encouraging people to add their Fanbase profile to their Linktree page. Our previous data has shown, that a vast majority of app downloads, website clicks, and content sharing have mainly stemmed from visitors going through Linktree.

We agreed this data was an obvious sign that as a tech company, we needed to partner up with Linktree and cross promote (which would in return be a huge benefit for Fanbase.

After reaching out to our Linktree representative, Linktree graciously agreed to collaborate with us. These provided us with more analytical insights as to how many individuals already had Fanbase listed on their Linktree, which gave me some strategy ideas that I could in return use to lead this campaign.

The main objective: increase the number of individuals that have Fanbase listed on their Linktree profile, which in return equal more link clicks for us (and essentially free advertising).

Campaign Creative Strategy

After crafting this concept, we knew we had to create some sort of incentive to encourage people to partake in adding their Fanbase profile to their Linktree.

This caused us to connect with our development team, for further strategy progression. We decided that once a month, Fanbase would randomly draw five winners, from the pool of people who have Fanbase in their link tree profiles, and reward them with "loves"! "Loves are our virtual currency on Fanbase, and are each worth one penny. Any of the five winners would have the chance to win a "mystery love pack" ranging from 500-25,000 loves!

This whole campaign was a win for everyone involved! For us it was more brand exposure, and for those participating, they had the chance to receive actual money for their efforts!

We decided the best way to promote this contest was through all social media channels, and collaborating with Fanbase content creators who already had their accounts listed in Linktree. This inspired us to connect with our design team, and create some graphics showing off our creators' Linktree profiles. Once posted, we made sure to add these content creators as collaborators on all posts. This would ultimately allow us to extend our reach in more ways than one!

  • While the main focus for this campaign was to increase Fanbase visibility on Linktree, we also received exciting results from the social posts we made for the campaign.

  • For all the social posts for "Let's Link Up", we made sure to do collaborative posts with content creators who already had their Fanbase profile on Linktree. This led to more of our audience engaging with our content, and clicking on the links we attached (encouraging people to download the Fanbase app!

Wrap-Up

After achieving a 21.25% increase in people adding their Fanbase profiles to Linktree, we can't wait to continue with this campaign, and possibly extend it. The feedback from these efforts was extremely positive. Users got excited by the fact that they could simply win money just be adding their Fanbase account to their Linktree! A lot of users expressed how they enjoyed learning about the functionalities that Fanbase has connected with Linktree, and how it's a great tool for creators to share their content. In the end, everyone gained something from this campaign and we can't wait to see our brand awareness continue to be on the rise with more of these link clicks.
